Writing and reading in multiple Languages with Microsoft office

If you happen to use use Microsoft Office on a daily basis and write in more than one language this is the the Microsoft Office tip that will make your use of these applications much easier.
Yes, Microsoft Office 2007 will support editing in multiple languages.
This means you can write on any of the Office applications such as Word and Outlook and take advantage of the built in dictionary tools based on the language you need to write on.
Here’s how you go about enabling the feature.
From Outlook-
1. Click on TOOLS –> OPTIONS -> Spelling Tab –> Spelling and AutoCorrection…
2. Select POPULAR on the left Pane and then Language Settings… on the right one.
3. Add the languages you commonly use then click OK.
note: you may also select your primary language.
Final Notes:
- You don’t have to modify any settings as Microsoft Office will automatically detect the language you are currently writing on.
- To perform this function from Word or Excel click the Office Button –> Options then follow from step 2.
- I’m only aware of this feature on Office 2007 and not previous versions.

Setup Secure FTP in IIS7

The following post will guide you through the necessary steps to get secure FTP installed and configured on your windows 2008 server.
I also recommend you purchase the following books from Amazon if you wish to master IIS7 in your professional career or simply as a passion.
Requirements: Windows Server 2008 (Code Name “Longhorn”) Release Candidate 0 (RC0) or later
- Uninstall the existing FTP server (IIS6) from the server if previously installed.
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Double-click Programs and Features.
- Click Turn Windows features on and off.
- Expand the Roles node in the tree.
- Select the Web Server (IIS) role.
- Click Remove Role Services in the Role Services section at the bottom of the page.
- Select the FTP Publishing Service option.
- Click the Remove button.
- Download Microsoft FTP Publishing Service (currently FTP 7.5)
- Run the installation wizard (this will cost you a web service shutdown).
Once the service is installed proceed by opening the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
The 1st thing you’ll notice is that there is no FTP FOLDER under the server name.
Instead you will want to select the site you wish to work with and click “add FTP Publishing…” under the Actions menu.
The rest is very straight forward as the configuration wizard asks for the IP Binding and the SSL cert to be used. You can also choose SSL enforcement.
Next, set the Authentication and the Authorization options to finish the setup.
Once FTP Publishing is provisioned Internet Information Services Manager will display more options for that FTP instance.
